Among the characteristic breeding birds we have Mallard, Wigeon, Teal, Goldeneye, Tufted Duch, Red-breasted Merganser, Black-throated Loon, Slavonian Grebe and Coot. Besides these, there are a lot of other birds breeding here, and Hammervatnet is one of the lakes with the highest probability of finding rare birds in the region.
